Imogen is ‘drawn to dark roles’
9 December | Posted by Celia | Filed Under: News

In a recent interview, Imogen explained how she is somehow drawn to more complex, darker roles.

Imogen Poots finds herself being taken in by dark roles without consciously acknowledging it.
Imogen Poots is “unconsciously” drawn to “dark roles”.
The British actress – who made her name in zombie movie ’28 Weeks Later’ – prefers playing characters who have depth to them rather then the “object of a guy’s affections”.
She said: “Unconsciously I’m drawn to darker roles because they’re more appealing than playing the object of a guy’s affections. I like roles I can get my teeth into.”
The 21-year-old star is also excited about her forthcoming movie ‘Fright Night’ – a remake of the 1985 movie of the same name – and fell in love with the location of the shoot, in which she stars with Colin Farrell and David Tennant.
She told Empire magazine: “I just fell in love with Albuquerque! I’m probably the only person you’ll ever hear say that – I was there for three months and the sky was mind-blowing.
“The sunrises and sunsets are just incredible. I got carried away and have about 1,000 photos of the same cloud.”

Great news everyone! There is a “Chatroom” Fan Event today at 5:30 at the Mayfair Hotel in London. Imogen will be there along with the rest of the cast members for an introduction to a special screening of the film. If anyone can make it and get some images or videos that would be fantastic. I’ve also added a few more stills.

Imogen Joins “Trap For Cinderella”
3 November | Posted by Celia | Filed Under: News, Trap For Cinderella

Great news everyone! Imogen has been cast in “Trap For Cinderella” alongside Ed Westwick, Brooke Shields, Bill Nighy, Tamsin Egerton, Bill Bailey and Felicity Jones.

Imogen Poots and Felicity Jones are two reasons for buyers at the AFM to track down Trap for Cinderella, directed and adapted by Ian Softley from the novel of the same name by Sébastien Japrisot.
Poots and Jones join a cast already boasting Ed Westwick, Tamsin Egerton, Brooke Shields, Bill Bailey and Bill Nighy.
Being sold at the AFM by U.K. sales banner Metropolis and the fresh casting aims to pique acquisition interest.
The movie centers on two women — one rich, the other poor — who are trapped inside a beach house in a French resort when it is gutted by fire.
Only one survives, burnt beyond recognition and in a state of total amnesia, leaving a slew of unanswered questions about her identity.
Softley’s movie is produced by Robert Jones (The Usual Suspects) and Dixie Linder (In My Fathers Den) along with Softley and is scheduled to shoot in both London and France in February 2011.
